Merchant privacy
You own it. Architecturally enforced.
  • Each merchant owns their transaction data permanently. Not a contract clause, but an engineering constraint.
  • Transparency by design — merchants know exactly what signal leaves their vault. A computed, anonymised, and encrypted interpretation. Never the underlying transaction record.
  • No merchant can see another merchant's data. The cluster architecture prevents this structurally. No administrator override exists because no access exists.
  • Each merchant's data stays under their local regulatory regime — DPDP in India, PDPA in SEA, CCPA in the US, and GDPR in Europe. Each is a data island. Signals do not traverse across regimes.
Consumer privacy
You control it. You benefit from it. Always.
  • Consumers enroll with explicit consent and control every category they share signals from. Opt-out is instant and permanent — no dark patterns, no buried settings.
  • Maartand never builds a consumer identity profile. The network engine operates on anonymised UUIDs — never on name, phone number, or any personal identifier.
  • Every referral benefits the consumer — a relevant recommendation from a brand they signalled interest in through their own purchase. Not surveillance. A signal they should benefit from.
  • Privacy regulation makes this architecture more valuable over time, not less. We did not build this to comply. We built it because it is right. Compliance is a byproduct.
